"Blood Red Road" by Moira Young GoodReads review

Blood Red Road (Dust Lands, #1)Blood Red Road by Moira Young
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I had high expectations of this story. Well, it was interesting at first to learn from pieces what happened to the world; why nature is so violent and how the people became like this.

In "Blood Red Road" Saba lives with her father, her brother Lugh and her sister Emmi into a desertland. One day an armed troop appears, kills her father and abducts her brother. From that point Saba and her sister will travel in order to find Lugh.

While the plot was interesting, there was a strange use of words and grammar in this book. For those who'll read it, don't worry, it's not fault from the publication, just the author's way to keep in with the enviromant of her story. From the characters, Jack was the strongest of all while at some points I got really irritated with Saba and even found Emmi cooler.
Even the bad guy has a hard time STAYING dead.

I hope the next book to be more interesting from the first. Until then: 3 of 5 stars

"Five Ways to Fall" by K. A. Tucker GoodReads review+giveaway

Five Ways to Fall (Ten Tiny Breaths, #4)Five Ways to Fall by K.A. Tucker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I first began reading "Ten tiny breaths" I never expected the series to evolve into one of my favorite contemporary, together with Colleen Hoover's of course!

On "Five ways to fall" we get to see Ben's story; you know the guy whom Kacey tried to (ehm) pin on the bathroom? Yup, that one! After finishing his work on Penny's he goes to law school. On a trip down to Mexico he meets with Reese, the total type of kick-ass heroine.
And then hell erupts!

It was one of the most enjoyable books of the series. Less emotional than ten tiny breaths and four seconds to lose and was also placed chronologically between Storm's wedding and Caine's research; the main characters focus on their 'friendship' at first, which involves lots of paintball and office pranks and later at the admittance of their feelings.

Their stories were heart breaking and a little planned for my tastes but I enjoyed the ending. I only hope this will not be Tucker's last book.

Until the next review on her? :)

"Sinner" GoodReads review

Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3.5)Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've got to say that still Cole knows how to be a adorable, really intimidating singer! That makes me want to hear him sing!

On a companion novel from the Shiver series, Cole and Isabel meet again on L.A. She tries to settle her life back, after returning from Minnesotta while Cole comes back for her. That's at least the first reason. Put in a ridiculous reality show (really insulting) and their double POV and you have Maggie's poetry in flesh (or in paper).

Even if it seems to be the end, I would love to have them all back, Sam, Grace, Cole and Isabel. While the news of the upcoming movie still are scattered all around the Web, i can't stop anticipating the novel on moving to motion picture. Until next time 5 of 5 stars

QUOTES: Cole: TALK?
ISABEL: NO
COLE: SEX?

"A need so Insiatible" GoodReads review

A Need So Insatiable (Hearts #1)A Need So Insatiable by Cecilia Robert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You can also see my review on http://alexperc92.blogspot.com/

We do have an appreciation for Contemporary but on Cecilia's "A need so Insiatible" we get so much more!

Sophie lives in a hard life. With only her sister left, a dept that literally hunts her and a deep pain, she tries to live through every day. Then Raphael comes; and everything become even more intersting. ;)
I enjoyed the comedy, the descritpions and even more the mystery of the plot. It's not only the romance. There are cases were the heroine seriously can kick some ass, while the bet Raphael had lost was tru;y hilarious, but what can you say? A man keeps his word! :D

Cecilia knows how to balance a good romance and the mystery but also the heart breaking moments, even the steamy scens! I can't wait to see what the rest of the series will bring!

"Control"+"Until we Fly" GoodReads reviews

Control (Control, #1)Control by Lydia Kang
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

While gentetics always had been a theme on some of the sci-fi novels I'd read, I never expected this use in here.

"Control' is set on a futuristic America where most of the Staes are combined into bigger ones, each with her own ruling. Sisters Zelia and Dyl live in one of those yet the day of their moving, a horrible accident happens. From the first chapters we have the mystery of their location as also the first reasons of those around them.
The characters, despite their X-men like powers were funny as teens with troubled pasts. Cy, for example who also becomes a very strong character as the story unfolds. Zelia also is a strong heroine determined to protect her sister and those around her.

The all genetics theme and the political and ethical issues which come from the story are also worth mentioning. Should they be used for good or bad. Should the people born with these powers exist or no? I hope to see the answer on the second book.

For now: 5 of 5 stars

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Read on 1 day!

You can't say Courtney Cole and not mean her "Beautifully Broken" series or the "Minaldi" series!

With the fourth book we have the most emotional, heart moving story of all four books! Brand and Nora are the best of the couples both scarred, both with need to be loved. That's something different from the other books of the series.
Brand is loveless because of a terrible past, while Nora suffers from a vile incindent (which by the way is the 1 star less. Too much for me but that doesn't mean that it wasn't important).

But the most important quote of all?

Before we fall, we fly Believe in yourselves people!

"White Hot Kiss" Good Reads Review

White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1)White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Only one author who have written about sexy aliens and smoke hot demi-Greek Gods would use the eternal battle between good and evil in such way!

"White Hot Kiss" is the best combination of comedy, where demons have names of Dinesy characters (OMG!) and gargoyles become the must on the good side, which reminds me of "The Beautiful and the Cursed".
Layla has a secret; she can't kiss anyone, unless she takes his soul in the proccess. When a Demon named Roth enters her life after lower deomns began threatening her, Layla would find herself in the middle of a battle and... hmmm temptation! (since Roth doesn't have a soul!" :*

And the ending? It's one of those which leaves you hanging, wondering, crying and demanding the NEXT BOOK!

And since the next time I'll leave you with a quote, I ADORED!

I lost myself the day I found you

"Rebel" GoodReads review

Rebel (Reboot, #2)Rebel by Amy Tintera
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With a breath taking pace, emotionally mind blowing Reboot ends with all the hopes i had for the series.

After Wren and Callum reach the reservation, things are not exactlly how they hoped to be. With HARC on their trails and the Reboots balancing between life and death Wren and her company will have to reach the best of their abilities.
And emotions.

I liked the dual POV and i was glad i got to peek Callum's thoughts about Wren. :) And also I reallt, really had me on the ending especially on the last battle, for a moment i got a coronary, thinking that I'll get to have another "Insurgent" heart-breaking ending!
But NO I got my wish!

I really want to read more from Any Tintera! Until the next time: 5 of 5 stars

That missing star goes for Calder. You'll see what i mean.

BUT on the second book we have mystery in almost all the lenght of the novel.

"The Bone Season" GoodReads review

The Bone Season (The Bone Season, #1)The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 of 5 stars

A truly intruing combination of high fantasy, dystopia and action.

Paige lives in an alternative version of London where people with abilities, abilities which touch the unknown plane of aether are hunted down by Scion. She works as a con inside an criminal syndicate until the moment she is arrested.

Instead of death she founds herself admist a new world where people of other dimensions, monsters and discrimination rule. There she goes under the 'care' of Warden an enigmatic man with even more enigmatic past.

Mystery and the power of dreams mix into this strong, highly addictive novel! I liked the way Paige tried to keep her mind sane and how Warden did everything into his nature in order to help her. I want more moments between these two!!! As for the end? It will not disappoint as it will leave you hanging and wondering what will hapen next!

"Maybe someday" by Colleen Hoover GoodReads review and giveaway!

Maybe SomedayMaybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of the best novels of Colleen Hoover! If Slammed made you love her style, the "Maybe Someday" will make you adore her!

Sydney breaks up. On her birthday day after finding our her boyfriend cheating on her with her roomate (as*le). Anyway, Ridge, her neighboor, offers her a place to stay. And from here we have funny moments, heart loving and heart-breaking moments. You get to have mant many feeling about the characters, how they oth struggle to point out their feelings AND the way things end.

I LOVED every bit of the story and especially the way music connected Ridge and Sydney. :)

Also get to listen the sound track of the novel. I give you the link of the songs here: http://www.maybesomedaysoundtrack.com...
