The Glass ArrowThe Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Summary from GoodReads

The Handmaid’s Tale meets Blood Red Road in Glass Arrow, the story of Aya, who lives with a small group of women on the run from the men who hunt them, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.

In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya’s luck runs out and she’s caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning.

 REVIEW

Another amazing novel from the author who took dystopian, politics and inner struggle and named it "Article 5". That series was a non-stop run for life and love and loved it.

On "Glass Arrow", a world where every person would hate, women and girls are sold like cattle. Aya and her family try to escape the Trackers who want to take the girls and sell them, until Aya is caught and through her eyes we see the monstrosity of this society.
Her only solace is Kiran a mute boy with deep secrets of his own.

Aya. A girl every blogger, fan of strong heroines will enjoy since she doesn't stop to fight, care and love those she cares for. She wants to be independent in a world of greed and sickness and her beliefs, which in a way they remind me of Native Americans, are really original.

The world building was also something I hadn't seen in other dystopian and if there would ever be a chance to see more from Aya and her company, I would take it. The novel is standalone but there is still place for the story to become more in lengh.
