REVIEW

I know that I have scheduled to post three reviews this week. Yet I pushed everything behind in favor for this book which by the way left me flipping the last page and the back cover, wondering: "why there isn't more?"

In the same Grisha universe across the sea lies Ketterdam, a city of trade and riches but also a world of gangs, pleasure houses and thieves. The Dregs is one of the top gangs of the city and Kaz is the second in command. A young man known as Dirtyhands with his cane, gloves and a mind which would put "Ocean's eleven" to shame he and Inej move the threads of the gangs' politics.

As the plot thickens and a terible enemy appears for all the Grisha, Kaz will gather a group of unusual people in order to travel to the deadliest place of this world. Wylan, Jesper, Nina and Matthias will combine their powers in a race against time.

I serioulsy loved the care the author gave in the book's world building. Not only did she use the third POV giving to everyone the chance to become protagonists, but also she supplied the reader with the background. There are also three possible romances which made my heart jump and my hands turn the pages faster and faster.

Only "Queen of Shadows" gave me similar feelings, adding also the waterworks and the jumping.

"Six of Crows" ended in a kind of cliffhanger with the posibility of having other loved characters of the first trilogy appearing in the next book. If a certain captain/emperor appears then you'll have me screaming. ;)

On a final note, I liked how Inej had named her blades. One of them had the name "Sankta Alina". So you got the hint right?

Do read this book people. You don't want to miss this beauty.

And if you are not convinced, do check the fan art which is also provided on Leigh's blog.
